Freedom Fund Banquet

A Fierce Urgency of NOW!

The NAACP Freedom Fund Banquet is our annual celebration and fundraiser supporting civil rights, equity, and community empowerment in the Quad Cities. The evening features keynote speakers, the presentation of NAACP Image Awards, and recognition of local leaders making a difference. Proceeds directly support programs in advocacy, youth development, and social justice.

2025 Freedom Fund Banquet

Join us for an inspiring evening of unity, celebration, and purpose at this year’s NAACP Freedom Fund Banquet. Together, we will honor outstanding leaders with the NAACP Image Awards, reflect on the progress of our ongoing fight for justice and equity, and look ahead to building a stronger, more inclusive Quad Cities.​

 

This year’s banquet, themed “A Fierce Urgency of Now,” will be held on Saturday, September 27th, at the Rogalski Center at St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa. The evening begins with a social hour at 5:00 PM, followed by the dinner and program at 6:00 PM.

2025 NAACP Image Award Winners

Lifetime Image Award

The Lifetime Achievement Award is the highest honor presented by the Davenport NAACP. This award recognizes an individual whose lifelong dedication, leadership, and service have made a profound and lasting impact on civil rights, social justice, and the advancement of the Black community in the Quad Cities.

Recipients of this award embody the values of the NAACP through their unwavering commitment to equity, advocacy, and community empowerment. Their legacy of service has paved the way for future generations, ensuring that the fight for freedom, justice, and equality continues.

President's Award

The President’s Award is a special honor chosen personally by the President of the Davenport NAACP. This award recognizes a member of the branch whose dedication, leadership, and service have made a significant impact on advancing the mission of the NAACP. It highlights individuals who work diligently behind the scenes or on the frontlines to strengthen the branch, support its initiatives, and uplift the community.
